Reason being; there is a amp built into the headset itself; they are a bit heavy. You will NEVER find a better sounding WIRELESS headset with an AMAZING mic, then these right here.
You see negative reviews; that's because there is literally NOTHING else that can compete with these?
How else could you compete other than slander? If you don't fall in love with them return them; these are beyond any expectation as far as wireless headphones are concerned.
If you don't believe me; look at some youtube videos or something and ask yourself why these are out of stock.
These are good. WORTH the money. You wont find a better sounding wireless headset with a better mic; the battery life is beyond amazing.
Tldr: these blew the wireless headset market out of the water and everyone is reeling. Get them while they're hot. Don't be manipulated by the bad reviews. Audeze made magic here.

Mic quality is very good! Better than the Sennheiser PC 38x series
Dual mic and detachable mic
Cons: Can feel heavy
On the Astro A50, the sound periodically interrupted for seconds; this does not happen with Maxwell. It’s also very cool that I can connect them to my smartphone and computer at the same time and answer the call during the game!
Some people complain about weight and their ears getting hot due to the pu leather. While it is a hefty headset I never found it uncomfortable. And even after 3 hours of gaming my ears never got too hot.
I have seen some people have some qc issues with their headset on the subreddit for this company, but so far for me I only had one issue, which was more a issue with using a front USB port in my computer then any fault with the headset. The connection would get dropped occasionally and that can be fixed either by plugging the dongle into the back of your computer or unplugging any other usb devices that are connected via the front USB ports.
If I develop any issues then my review will definitely change but for now it’s an easy 5 stars.
PS, the battery life on this thing is insane.
