Guys; this IS the best wireless headset ON the market. Sony has already bought audeze lately to get them to start building headsets for them. The mic on this headset is amazing; the audio quality is better than ANY wired-headset enthusiast would ever admit.
Reason being; there is a amp built into the headset itself; they are a bit heavy. You will NEVER find a better sounding WIRELESS headset with an AMAZING mic, then these right here.
You see negative reviews; that's because there is literally NOTHING else that can compete with these?
How else could you compete other than slander? If you don't fall in love with them return them; these are beyond any expectation as far as wireless headphones are concerned.
If you don't believe me; look at some youtube videos or something and ask yourself why these are out of stock.
These are good. WORTH the money. You wont find a better sounding wireless headset with a better mic; the battery life is beyond amazing.
Tldr: these blew the wireless headset market out of the water and everyone is reeling. Get them while they're hot. Don't be manipulated by the bad reviews. Audeze made magic here.

✨ I recently upgraded to the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds, and I'm extremely impressed with their sound quality and overall performance. As someone who has tried many different earbuds over the years, these are easily among the best I've ever used without a doubt. ✨ Right out of the box, the build quality is excellent. The earbuds have a premium feel with a sleek design and secure fit that keeps them comfortably in place during workouts or everyday use. The touch controls are responsive and intuitive for controlling music playback, calls, and accessing the voice assistant. ✨ But where the Momentum True Wireless 4 really shines is with its exceptional audio capabilities. The sound is simply fantastic, with crystal clear highs, rich mids, and deep powerful bass. Music across all genres sounds beautifully balanced and dynamic. Sennheiser's audio expertise is on full display here. ✨ The noise cancellation is also top-notch, effectively blocking out ambient noise whether I'm at the office, on a flight, or just out for a walk. The Transparency mode comes in handy for quickly hearing my surroundings when needed as well. Call quality is superb too, with impressive clarity on both ends. ✨ Battery life is quite good, providing around 10+ hours of listening per charge on the earbuds. And the compact charging case provides two extra full charges, giving me over 28 hours of total use before needing to plug in again. Very convenient for travel or just everyday longevity. ✨ Overall, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 has everything I could ask for in a premium set of earbuds - amazing sound, reliable noise cancellation, useful smart features, and a polished hardware design. While pricey, the audio quality alone makes them worth the investment for music lovers and audio enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

Great headphones. I found them really easy to set up, it took a few mins to find them via Bluetooth but once they popped up was simple. I like the fact they come with different sized earbuds as not everyone is the same, I found they were a little big as standard so handy to have an option to fit nicer. The box is sturdy but not too big so won’t take too much space whilst charging or in a bag/pocket. Sound is amazing, they really do block out background noise. I only tested on low at first and my little one was talking and I could tell he said something but it wasn’t clear, so if you want to just shut off and immerse in the music/podcast etc etc then these are perfect!

I am very very picky when it comes to spending money on a headset for sure.. I did over 10 hours of research on picking out my next pair, and this time I picked wireless for the first time ever.. I have a full setup with a DAC/AMP and 3 pairs of Sennheiser headphones and at first I was a little let down by the bass but with a simple EQ tune (I posted a pic of the tune is use) and OMG these things ROCK!! They hit very low bass amazingly, some of the cleanest headphones I have listened to when it comes to bass.. very accurate and clean is all I can say.. that and they hit all the way down to 10hz which is great for movies and low bass music. But that being said these headphones seem to amaze me every day with how great they perform overall.

Tips: EQ tunes in picture
Turn off the volume limiter in the Audeze app
Turn off sidetone and adjust slider all the way to Game for max sound

Pros: 80 hours of battery life
Amazing sound
Compatible with just about everything and has options for wired
Mic quality is very good! Better than the Sennheiser PC 38x series
Dual mic and detachable mic

Cons: Can feel heavy

I will start my review by stating that I bought all 3 of the so called heavy hitters for wireless headsets and the Maxwell was my clear favorite. The other 2 headsets were the Nova Pro Wireless and the Astro A50X. Comfort wise, the Maxwells are heavier than the others but perfectly balanced and I can easily wear them for hours with no discomfort. I have a smaller head and the Nova Pro would slip around no matter the adjustments I made to it. The A50X on the other hand had the most clamping force and would hurt my head after a few hours. Sound is subjective but to me the Maxwell win out as they are perfect for both gaming and music. If you want something just for gaming then the Nova Pro may be a better option but the sound qutom the Maxwell is unmatched. Honest being the cheapest of the 3 it would have been my only choice if it wasn't backordered and hard to find a few months ago. It's just a well built headset oozing with quality that sounds great. Also it is the loudest of the 3 of that matters. I had the others at almost max volume most of the time but the Maxwell are probably only at 70-75 percent. Cannot recommend the headset enough.

On the Astro A50, the sound periodically interrupted for seconds; this does not happen with Maxwell. It’s also very cool that I can connect them to my smartphone and computer at the same time and answer the call during the game!

I think they have a chance to become an all-time classic, like the HD600.
I bought mine over 2 years ago and still use them all the time.
For reference, I've owned the Sennheiser IE600, Moondrop Blessing 2, 7Hz Timeless, and other well-regarded IEMs. The Variations are my favorite IEM and match my superb Hifiman HE1000 Stealth for enjoyment, although they're different listening experiences.
My simple advice is: Try them! They've stood the test of time for a reason.

I hope this helps someone who is like me wondering what to get up to $100 or less for an IEM or headphones etc…I wanted a good iem for bass, listening to music and gaming. Headphones just never are comfortable for extended periods and bulky. I love bass and edm, so that was important, but so was gaming and hearing footsteps for FPS games and overall soundstage and quality. I started with ATH M40x Audio Technica over ear headphones… just wasn’t comfortable. sound was just decent. Then I got Truthear Crinacle Zero iem’s…. just sounded overly boosted and artificial and for gaming was barely ok ish but not good.
I then thought what the heck, lets try these Moondrop Aria 2 iem’s. Boom! Mission accomplished! while im sure there can be other recommendations and other good iem’s out there let me just tell you these work and work well without an amp or DAC. just plugged into my PC 3.5 basic realtek audio jack. i like drum and bass edm and the bass is solid, great, good balanced sound, good for gaming just no complaints and completely happy. I really didnt want to spend more then $100 cause im living in a hotel rn and Im also a dj and have great equipment in storage.
Anyhow this was a long ass review but if your criterion’s are similar to mine and budget too, this will be very satisfactory.
Cheers

As a part time audiophile, I do search for products that I find eye opening at less than painful price range. I’m not about to delve into the world of upper echelons of audio due to financial reasons but I found these headphones to be impressive. I’m a wired-headphone kinda guy. They do, by fact and science, sound better. These being wireless and sounding the way they do is what caught my attention. I’ve never owned any B&W products. Now they have a customer for life. Apparently these have the ability to be listened to wired as well, I have yet to try it.
Now, one thing has caught my attention (which I provide a photo). I don’t know if I got an opposite of a lemon device or what but I’d consider this a golden apple. I’ve used these at my job almost every day. I’ve had these since September 5th. I haven’t charged them ONCE. They still haven’t died. I’d say the battery is life is incredible on these.
The sound quality is very good. Being wireless and battery powered, they aren’t as loud as I’d like it, but that’s only because, again, I have wired headphones I use on my PreSonus Central Station (Philips Fidelios, Beats Pro *the all metal ones, not those plastic pos*). You can hear the power behind it as far as volume and detail. But nonetheless they do sound ALMOST on par with the wired headphones I have, so very very nice.
I haven’t had much experience with noise cancellation so I don’t have much of an opinion on it. But so far, these are the best I’ve had.
And lastly. Their appearance. They just look good. I love the color, design, shape, and feel. They are comfortable. I was worried about some of the reviews with the quality control/build issues, but I could care less honestly. As long as they play music at their intended quality, I’m happy.

Some people complain about weight and their ears getting hot due to the pu leather. While it is a hefty headset I never found it uncomfortable. And even after 3 hours of gaming my ears never got too hot.

I have seen some people have some qc issues with their headset on the subreddit for this company, but so far for me I only had one issue, which was more a issue with using a front USB port in my computer then any fault with the headset. The connection would get dropped occasionally and that can be fixed either by plugging the dongle into the back of your computer or unplugging any other usb devices that are connected via the front USB ports.

If I develop any issues then my review will definitely change but for now it’s an easy 5 stars.

PS, the battery life on this thing is insane.

I've been a Sennheiser fan for a while now and wanted to give these a shot vs the fan favored Sony WH-1000XM5s. Used the Momentum 4s for around a week and was incredibly impressed with the battery life, ease of use, and the sound quality. If you have some audiophile grade equipment with a separate DAC/Amp combo this does not sound as good. That being said, this is miles above alternatives in it's price range.

After adjusting to the sound of the Sennheisers for a few days, I immediately had a negative reaction when trying out the Sonys. To my ears they had a noticably dryer sound profile where the highs and mids sounded muffled and flat in comparison (Note: not accuracy flat, just plain dull sounding). The bass is pretty equivalent, at least in EDM/metal/hip hop genres. I listened for a few hours in the Sonys and just couldn't find any songs I thought sounded measurably better than the Sennheisers. Even listening to the same song on the tablet and phone with both headphones back to back, everything was brighter, clearer, and warmer in the Sennheisers and have a noticably better build quality. My first initial reaction to Sennheiser build quality was negative because they felt much lighter than I was expecting having used more serious headphones. The Sonys felt even lighter and more plastic-y/cheaper in comparison.

The noise cancelling was noticably better in the Sonys than the Sennheisers, which may or may not be a deal breaker for some. I would imagine the Sonys would perform better on an airplane, but for home/office use I was perfectly happy with both.

TLDR: The Sennheisers are the no brainer choice for me.

**Momentum 4 quirks/nit picking:

- My head gets hot in any headphones with leather ear cups, I could not find alternative/cooler padding which is worth the sound/seal trade off.

- The sensors to know if it's on your head are pretty sensitive. It's good when you lift off an ear to hear someone else in the room, they pause. It's bad when you take them off, they 'sleep' on the desk, anything brushes/touches the headphones. It will automatically switch your audio source from your phone back to the headphones. Depending on how often you listen to audio on your phones speaker or are around where these will be when you are not using them, it's easier to turn them off when not in use to avoid having to change your media output on your phone back to the speaker. Samsung phones have a quick media output switch in the drop down quick menu, but not all phones make it this easy.

I wanted an upgrade from my Mobius, and finally, I found one that is worth it. The app for the PC could be refined more feature-wise. I looked at all the big players and tried them. Logitech, Astros, Steel series, and even HyperX. My Mobius stomped both of those, but the Mobius build stomped itself. I was on my second set because of cracks that form above the cups. The Maxwells have none of those issues, The build has metal where it counts. The Soundstage is decent. If you listen to America at one moment and Gorillaz at another the music is Clear and punchy when it needs to be. and USB-connected sound is the best, Wifi at 96k sounds great for 80-hour wireless action and is the next best sounding after USB. Yes, 96K is not a type-o. Bluetooth is decent as well. I can get 80 feet past my double-pained treated glass to my patio, but more importantly, I can get to other rooms in my house when I am working or playing. Windows 11 does not mess with the Mic output, and the noise cancellation to listeners is amazing. If you see this Audeze you can send me a pair of your LCD GX and I would not complain to take a look at them. Just like another reviewer just said. Just buy them. You get what you pay for.

You're a smart person, you can find the frequency response curves, ANC curves, etc. online. This review is about the overall experience. Note: I happen to LOVE the way these look, simple, plain, understated... smaller target for theft, too.

I have the Sennheiser HD 515, HD 598, and HD 598 Cs, and the Sennheiser GAME ONE headset. Those (and most other from the brand) have large, extremely comfortable ear cups. I know that, and need that, because I used to play World of Warcraft for about 50 hours a week, with headphones all the time.

First impression—the cups are smaller. It just so happens that I have normal ears, and the other Sennheisers I have are too big for me, with a good margin to adjust them when the skin gets tired around my earlobes. The MOMENTUM 4 surprised me by being smaller, but—they have a really good design and are concave, with more space inside the cup than it seems, especially in the back. I am able to find a few different positions where my earlobes are not pressed (or even touched) at all, but how they fit you will depend on your ears, which is something important to consider.

The review at SoundGuys is on point. The M4 do have a bit more low end than my other sets, and I like that; it's easier to EQ your way down than up. Overall very happy with the sound, I don't think you'd be disappointed. As the SG review says, the ANC is a little weak sometimes; I don't care, to me that's secondary.

Battery life is amazing, the 60hrs claim seems accurate. Build quality is plasticky and okay, I would baby them a bit. Touch controls are precise and responsive for me, even with the guide stickers still on the outside (which I've removed after my wife made fun of me for it). The app seems to work all right, I think it's better to set your preferences and then not use it anymore, as sometimes the settings get changed around a bit for no reason. (KEEP UP WITH FIRMWARE UPDATES, though.)

Connectivity—outstanding. Bluetooth (multipoint x2), passive mode, and USB mode. Quickly:

* Bluetooth: works fine. Good range, it seems. I don't care for or like the multipoint, and I think it's irrelevant.
* USB mode: use USB-A to USB Type C cable (included). Headphone presents as a regular USB headset to the computer. Works great and charges at the same time.
* Passive mode: Uses a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable (included) to use as a plain Jane wired headset. You CAN power on the M4 in this mode and benefit from better sound, or leave them off (on purpose, or if the battery is dead). I DISAGREE THAT THE SOUND IS BAD IN PURE PASSIVE MODE, WITH POWER OFF. It's slightly subpar compared to BT/USB/powered passive, but it's JUST FINE, and pretty good to boot.

The SG review docks the M4 on mic quality, but in my tests people's feedback was that the calls were clear and noise-free, even when I was doing yard work on a very windy day. Still, YMMV.

Case—it's a carrying case. It's... functional, plain, the way I like my coffee.

My only complaint, if this tells you anything—the charge port and 2.5mm port are on the RIGHT cup, whereas all other sets I've ever had or seen have the cable going to the LEFT one. The power button and touch controls are also on the RIGHT, so maybe that's why, but on the (infrequent) occasions when you may have a cable attached, it's not where you'd be used to finding it.

The hype and internet consensus is justified: the Px7 S2s sound phenomenal. I prefer the soundstage over that of my Sony WH-1000XM5s, which I use for calls and on flights (or in other noisy situations), since their noise cancellation and microphones are definitely better than those on the Px7 S2. Compared to the Px7 S2s, the XM5s sound muddy and condensed, whereas the Px7 S2s feel expansive and crisp, while maintaining a robust lower register of bass to fill out the overall soundstage.

I'll cover 5 main areas in this review, often comparing the Px7 S2s to my experience with the Sony WH-1000XM5s (XM5s), the Airpods Max's (APMs), and the first-generation B&W Px7s:

1. Sound Quality
2. Build Quality
3. Bluetooth & Corded Connection Technology
4. Included Case
5. New Bowers & Wilkins App

— SOUND QUALITY —
I should preface this by saying that I purchased the Px7 S2s to be my listen-at-home-for-best-sound-quality-using-bluetooth headphones. I have a pair of open-back Beyerdynamic 990s that I use to mix and produce music, my XM5s for traveling and phone/video calls, the APMs (which I've since returned), the in-ear Sony WF-1000XM4s for the gym and exercising, and now these new Px7 S2s from B&W (which I'll just call "S2s" from here on).

It took a little time for the S2s to "run in", basically like "breaking in" any pair of headphones, over the course of about 24 hours of listening time – and the sound really just got better and better. I noticed better channel separation over time, especially when listening via the corded connection and internal DAC to get true HiFi sound (using TIDAL).

I did adjust the EQ in the app over time, basically increasing the bass by 4.5 dB and the treble by 2.5 dB to get even more dialed in to the sound I prefer. Now, the S2s offer an impressively wide soundstage with a level of detail and precision that I've never heard in any other pair of wireless headphones. The highs are clear and articulate, while the mids remain warm and rich, providing an incredibly immersive listening experience. I also appreciate that the S2s don't sacrifice bass response in pursuit of clarity; the low-end is powerful and well-defined, never overpowering or muddy. As a true audiophile, I can confidently say that the S2s deliver a level of Hi-Fi audio quality that is unmatched in the wireless headphone market.

— BUILD QUALITY —
When it comes to build quality, the S2s are simply outstanding. Crafted from a high-quality plastic that feels almost indistinguishable from aluminum or other light metals, the entire build of the headphones exudes a premium feel. The materials used make them lightweight yet durable, perfect for extended listening sessions without discomfort. The ear cups are plush and comfortable, providing excellent passive noise isolation. The S2s also boast a sleek and elegant design, making them as visually impressive as they are sonically.

— BLUETOOTH & CORDED CONNECTION TECHNOLOGY —
The S2s feature the latest Bluetooth technology, ensuring a stable and high-quality wireless connection. I've experienced no latency issues or connection drops, making for a seamless listening experience. The inclusion of a USB-C to 3.5mm cord and a USB-C to USB-C cord allows users to enjoy Hi-Res music quality, which is a fantastic addition for those who desire the best possible audio experience. I find that using the corded connection with the built-in DAC delivers superior sound quality compared to Bluetooth alone, especially when listening to lossless audio formats such as FLAC or TIDAL's Dolby Atmos tracks.

— INCLUDED CASE —
The Px7 S2s come with a fantastic case that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The case is smaller and less bulky than the XM5s, making it easier to carry around without taking up too much space. Made from a nice canvas-type material, the case feels durable and offers excellent protection for your headphones. The case is far superior to the AirPods Max's, which don't even come with a case, and it's clear that Bowers & Wilkins put thought into creating a case that is both protective and stylish.

— NEW BOWERS & WILKINS APP —
The Bowers & Wilkins music app is a fantastic addition to the Px7 S2 experience. The app enables you to adjust EQ settings, including treble and bass, allowing you to fine-tune your listening experience to your preferences. Additionally, the app integrates multiple streaming platforms like TIDAL, Spotify, and Soundcloud into one centralized music hub, making it easy to access and enjoy all your favorite music from a single location.

I particularly appreciate the ability to listen to TIDAL's Dolby Atmos songs in a standard FLAC format, which sounds much better to my ears. The app is user-friendly and responsive, and I find it to be a valuable tool in getting the most out of my Px7 S2s.

— FINAL THOUGHTS —
Ultimately, the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 over-ear headphones have exceeded my expectations in every way. With unparalleled sound quality, exceptional build quality, versatile connection options, a fantastic case, and a highly functional app, the Px7 S2s have quickly become my go-to headphones for enjoying Hi-Fi audio at home. As an audiophile, I can confidently say that these headphones offer a listening experience that is unmatched in the wireless market. If you're seeking a truly premium audio experience, look no further than the Px7 S2s.

Omg I love these. Sleek, well made, rage quit #3 and they are still alive and well😂. They last all day and half the next day for me constantly playing music mid volume lvl. or like 2 to 3 days of and on or keeping on(forgetting to turn off). Call quality/ background noise cancelling is awesome. It matches sound quality you expect from Sennheiser. I wasn't a fan of how heavy they were at first but easy to get used to for sure. In the review photo you can see I have added a small spacer to raise them since my ears are very small and they sat too low. I do not recommend exercising or sweating in them as they slip off but I have tiny head so could very much just be me. They can get warm around the ears but dang do they have excellent noise cancelling and I almost always find myself walking around with them on but no sound on to avoid people talking to me while out and about much more effective than buds but still hear for safety. Easy to get used to buttons. Special note and tip. If they are off, and you get a call, you can turn them on and it will answer the call as soon as you turn them on (if auto connect and Bluetooth is on) Amazing call quality too. All in all its so worth it. Arrived on time for shipping. Be sure you buy authentic!!! Lots of copies being sold now days. Mine came with proof of authenticity.

I'm using spinfit CP240s and tripowin grace instead of stock tips and cable. Source is a LG V50.

These are IMO the sweet spot for price to performance. Great all-around, especially for acoustic music and live performances.

The frequency response follows the 2019 Harman IE target with some moondrop flavoring, which means the sub-bass (20hz to 100hz) is pretty heavily boosted and the upper mids are slightly boosted (around 2khz). This took some adjusting to on my end after being used to the Diffuse Field target, but after trying some EQ, I understand why the changes are made. These make the Variations produce a more natural sound vs the clinical DF target, and the result is very engaging.

Acoustic instruments sound right for the most part. A very slight dip in the lower mids makes them sound a bit cleaner than they usually are, but the sub bass rumbling and the super clean treble from the electrostatic drivers reproduces the natural resonances I hear from live instruments quite well. The only problem with tonality I can detect is a slight recession of male vocals and parts of drum kits. Baritone and tenor singers lack some resonance due to recessed mid-bass, and the kick drums hit a bit less than they do live. This is a necessary consequence of cleaning up the sound IMO because the sound gets a bit muddier when i tried changing this, and I prefer this cleaner tone overall.

The soundstage and imaging is quite great. I imagine this is due to the excellent impulse response of the BA and EST drivers + excellently applied psychoacoustics. Instruments on center stage are properly outside my head and placed in front of me, which is the main failing I have found in some other IEMs I have used.

One hope I have for any future improvements to this tribrid formula is a replacement of the dynamic driver with a planar magnetic driver. At times, I can hear the harmonic distortion in the low end, and it's especially distracting after listening to my planar over ears for a while. It's the only weakness to the technicalities of the Variations I can detect, and it's quite a minor one.

The most iffy part of the Variations is the ergos of the design IMO. This shape works out for me, so the comfort is very good. I'd imagine these would cause problems if my ears were smaller or shaped differently.

One last thing to note is the power required to run these. I have to push my V50 up to around 80% to get listenable volumes, so some stock amps may struggle to feed the variations properly.

The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 is my favorite wireless headphone at the moment. I also own or extensively tried the AirPods Max, Sony WH-1000XM5, Master & Dynamic MW75, B&O H95, Bose QC45, Bose NC700, Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 and many others… So that gives you an idea how what I have experienced.

Build quality of the PX7 S2 is excellent. B&W previously used more premium materials in the older headphones however, this increased their weight and thus reduced the comfort. The PX7 S2 uses lighter materials like plastic, but it’s well put together and upon flexing and bending the headphone, it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break under normal use. Thankfully, the PX7 S2 is the most comfortable headphone from B&W that I’ve used. They are actually more comfortable to me than the new Sony XM5’s but not as comfortable as the Bose QC45. The control scheme on the PX7 S2 are not as modern as say the touch-based controls of the Sony XM5 or Bose NC 700 but some might prefer the physical buttons since it offers more tactility during operation. One thing to note is that I wish B&W gave the option to program the left earcup’s single button to allow for long presses to summon your voice assistant while short presses cycle through the environment noise modes. As of now, you can only use that button to do either or and not both. Other than that, I am fine with the physical control scheme setup. The multipurpose play/pause button is textured in feel so you can easily differentiate it from the volume buttons. The power switch is reliable and also doubles as a Bluetooth pairing toggle. There’s a USB-C input port for charging and/or USB-C audio. Supplied with the PX7 S2 is a well-designed and functional carrying case that doesn’t take up too much space in my opinion despite the headphone not being able to fold. Within the case there is a compartment that opens and closes via a magnetic. That compartment houses the USB-C cable for charge and/or audio from a USB source as well as a USB-C to 3.5mm analog cable.

The Music | Bowers & Wilkins app is pretty solid and allows you to adjust between ANC, Transparency and off, adjust the tonal balance of the bass and treble (pretty lackluster EQ control but better than nothing), configure the active Bluetooth connects (2 connections at once is possible), configure the auto standby if the headphone is not in use and configure the wear sensor that triggers the headphone to pause the media when taken off of your head and resume the media when the headphone is put back on your head. You can also rename the PX7 S2’s Bluetooth name or factory reset them.

Battery life is excellent at up to 30 hours with a 15-minute charge from a dead battery giving you 7 hours which is superb. This is great for if you are about to hop on a flight and need to charge them up really quick while you are waiting in the boarding area. Charge time is about 2 hours from dead battery to 100%.

Call quality on the PX7 S2 is okay. In a quiet environment, your voice will come through loud and clear. However, if there are loud noises in the background, the noise gate in the microphone will make you sound a bit muffled while still letting in some of the noises from your surroundings. My top choice in this call quality category still remains the Sony WH-1000XM5. The ANC of the PX7 S2 is great and definitely allows for nuanced musical listening in loud environments. They aren’t quite as effective at cutting down the noise as say the AirPods Max or Sony’s, but they do more than enough needed. Transparency mode is clear enough to hold a conversation or hear announcements easily however your voice sounds a tad muffled in comparison to the transparency kings; the AirPods Max.

The sound of the PX7 S2 is excellent. I would describe them as neutral-warm. Bass extends deep, hits with precision and never clouds the midrange (something the Sony’s tend to unfortunately do) and its ability to reveal subtle nuances. Max volume does nothing to distort the drivers used in the PX7 S2 unlike the Bose QC45 or Bose NC 700. There also aren’t any odd tonal balance shifts as the volume increases. The midrange of the PX7 S2 is natural and has a good sense of depth giving you the impression that the singer and instruments is in front of you. This may be thanks to the angled drivers in each of the earcups of the PX7 S2. I don’t detect any odd holes or dips in the midrange like on the AirPods Max which has an upper midrange dip that makes lead instruments and female vocals sound a bit veiled. The PX7 S2 has a crisp and extremely detailed sound while not being fatiguing. The treble has a nice edge to it but knows not to overstep its boundaries and rob the spotlight of the music and/or cause listening fatigue. Overall, the PX7 S2 sounds crisp, smooth, natural and spacious. My favorite sounding wireless headphone of 2022 so far.

In conclusion, the PX7 S2 is a well-rounded package delivering what I think is the best sound quality in this space while still being competitive in ANC performance and feature set. Highly recommended.

I have so many headphones that it is becoming a problem, probably need to see a shrink and find out what I am missing in life. Anyhow, don't expect this to be going head to head with open back audiophile headphones, this is just a smaller version of that, bass head will enjoy this, has great separation, mids and highs are super clear. The only thing is that it's bit large, so will be uncomfortable for first few usages until the ears adjust.

Also, using with fiio uws5 wireless converter, and becomes so much portable, just carry the wire incase.
